Randstad Sourceright is looking for a proactive and committed Supply Chain Operations Manager to join a leading renewable energy company.

In this pivotal role, you will be the key driver for guaranteeing the complete and on-time delivery of all necessary goods and services. Your core responsibilities will involve direct engagement with suppliers, active management of delivery timelines, rapid issue resolution, and continuous optimization of overall supply chain performance.

Success in this position demands excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, and Quality. You will also utilize expert project management techniques to effectively monitor progress, mitigate risks, and prioritize mission-critical orders.

Key Responsibilities and Impact:

• Supplier Performance Management: Proactively manage and enhance supplier delivery performance, mitigating risks to guarantee the on-time and in-full arrival of critical items and services.
• Relationship and Influence: Cultivate robust, trust-based relationships with key suppliers, leveraging influence at senior levels to secure commitments and drive measurable, sustained performance improvements.
• Issue Resolution: Lead assertive, solution-focused negotiations with suppliers to resolve delays, implementing agreed-upon recovery plans and holding all parties accountable for execution.
• Strategic Planning: Apply expert knowledge of project management and planning tools (e.g., Gantt charts, critical path analysis, manufacturing plans) to develop and execute effective delivery strategies.
• Prioritisation and Expediting: Direct the prioritisation and expediting of urgent orders, managing both parallel and sequential activities to safeguard programme timelines.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor and rigorously analyse supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), initiating targeted improvement plans to address underperformance and deliver clear, measurable results.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner seamlessly with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Commodity Management to eliminate bottlenecks, resolve conflicts, and ensure swift action on high-priority issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause investigations into delivery failures, implementing effective corrective actions and embedding robust contingency measures to secure future performance.

What You Will Bring:

• Experience: Proven leadership experience in supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing, preferably within complex, high-value engineered product sectors such as aerospace or gas turbines.
• Results-Oriented: A demonstrated history of successfully managing and improving supplier performance, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and achieve results even under challenging circumstances.
• Mindset: Strong problem-solving capabilities and decisive decision-making skills, underpinned by a proactive, continuous improvement-driven attitude.
• Resilience and Structure: The capacity to maintain clarity and act decisively under pressure, applying a structured, solution-driven approach to complex operational challenges.
