Job title - Site Logistics Supervisor

Location: Vanguard West, Norfolk (Norfolk Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm)

Contract length: Project until 06/03/2028 (12month contracts)

Hours: 10 hrs/day, 50 hrs/week

Start and finish times: site is open from 7am until 5pm

Start date: aiming for 02/03/2026

Rate: £market rates - Umbrella/LTD - Outside IR35

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Logistics Supervisor to work on a project for a major HVDC onshore converter station, working for Siemens Energy.

 

The Role:

Reporting to the General Site Manager and Site Manager, you will control, coordinate and take custody of materials from shipment to site and coordinate site storage, including logistics for the use of permanent materials/plant in line with programme requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

• Components range from mechanical and electrical instrumentation for our Converter Station, and will include compiling all necessary quality documentation FAT testing and understanding dimensions and weight of equipment.
• There will be a requirement to coordinate with our suppliers, quality checks, planning etc.
• Organizes and controls the logistics/SCM activities in the area of responsibility with the objective of achieving cost benefits, delivery reliability and customer satisfaction through the best possible logistics services (flow of material, value, information) as well as optimizing the processes and the use of resources. 
• Organizes and controls the Supply Chain / Logistics activities in the area of responsibility (e.g. warehouse) with the objective of achieving cost benefits, delivery reliability and customer satisfaction through the best possible logistics services (flow of material) as well as optimizing the processes and the use of resources.

 

Key Skills and experience required:

 

• Site Logistics Experience: Proven experience in a logistics or supervisory role within a construction, engineering, or energy site environment.
• Material Custody & Control: Experience taking ownership of materials from arrival to storage, including managing delivery schedules and site storage layouts.
• Quality & Inspection: Ability to perform physical quality checks on arrival and manage the associated paperwork (e.g., delivery notes and quality certificates).
• Technical Literacy: Comfortable reading technical documentation and understanding basic equipment specs (dimensions and weights) to plan safe offloading.
• Supplier Coordination: Strong communication skills to liaise directly with suppliers and transport providers to coordinate delivery windows.
• Safety & Compliance: A solid understanding of site health and safety standards; must be comfortable working in a high-pressure, safety-critical environment.
• IT Proficiency: Must be able to use MS Office (Excel) for tracking; experience with SAP (or a similar ERP) is highly preferred.
• Ideally hold a valid CSCS Card (or be willing to obtain one).
