Solution Architect – Global Pet Nutrition

About the Role

Mars Pet Nutrition is on a Digital First journey—placing pet parents at the center of everything we do while digitalizing key business processes. As part of this transformation, we are seeking a TPM Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team.

This is a technical leadership role responsible for the architecture, design, and optimization of digital and data platforms for the multi-billion-dollar Pet Nutrition division. You will oversee delivery of Trade Promotion Management (TPM) solutions globally, working closely with business, digital, and IT teams to drive innovation, operational excellence, and top-line growth.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will be part of the Global PN Architecture of Tomorrow team, influencing strategy, technology selection, and solution delivery across Mars Pet Nutrition.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Define and execute the TPM solution architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and Mars Enterprise Architecture principles.
• Strategy & Thought Leadership: Collaborate with Digital Leadership & TPM product teams to drive TPM strategy and bring external best practices into the organization.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Growth, Digital Leadership, CMI, and Product Management teams to ensure business requirements are met.
• Governance & Assurance: Lead architectural reviews, approve solution designs, and provide guidance to delivery teams on build vs buy decisions.
• Solution Delivery: Guide development teams to ensure TPM solutions are scalable, robust, and meet business needs, including documentation of architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.
• Integration & Data Management: Ensure seamless integration with CRM, ERP, SCM, BI, and other satellite systems; oversee data quality, transformation, and master data management practices.

About You

• Proven experience in TPM solution architecture within FMCG or related industries.
• Strong understanding of TPM processes: promotion planning, forecasting, budgeting, optimization, and post-event analysis.
• Hands-on experience with TPM platforms such as SAP TPM, Exceedra, AFS TPM, XTEL, VF, or Salesforce TPM.
• Expertise in cloud/SaaS solutions, data integration, and modern application architecture (Azure, GCP, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, global organizations and lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and thought leadership skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, innovation, and customer-centric mindset.

Desirable

• Experience in data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML integration for TPM or sales & marketing systems.
• Exposure to large-scale, multi-region digital transformation programs.
• Ability to mentor junior architects and guide technical teams.
