Job title - Fault Coordinator

Location: Poole

Contract length: 9 months (potential temp to perm)
Full time office whilst training, 4-5 months. Then 2 out of 4 shifts can be at home as long as confirmed with the manager. 

Rate: £15.88 per hour PAYE

Hours: We are a 365 24/7 department, the shifts rotate through weekends and bank holidays.
Shift rotation: 4 on 4 off shift rotation 6am – 5:30pm / 7am – 6:30pm / 8am – 7:30pm 


Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Fault Coordinator on behalf of a global leader in intelligent traffic systems. 

The Role:

This role is responsible for the effective handling of faults in line with our customer’s contract requirements working on a prestigious and essential availability-based traffic signal maintenance contract.
You will develop an expert understanding of our customer’s requirements and support our London Field Services team, contributing towards the long-term development of the Service Operations Centre and helping to establish our department within the company, with both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Telephony and e-mail correspondence.
  • Intelligent allocation of faults to Field Service engineers including those that are time sensitive and urgent to maximize output and limit travel, also ensuring that faults are dispatched to an appropriately skilled engineer.
  • Ensuring that all faults are reported, and information appropriately checked to support high levels of operational productivity.
  • Managing fault attendance feedback from our Field Service engineers and ensuring this is recorded on the customer system accurately in line with contract requirements.
  • Liaising with various third parties to ensure faults are appropriately managed.
  • Liaising with our customer to deliver their contract requirements.
  • Escalating risks or issues to a Senior Fault Coordinator or Team Leader

 

Key Skills and experience required:

 

  • Precision & Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail when managing data entry and updating internal systems.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficiency in Office 365, including managing high-volume email correspondence and maintaining organized spreadsheets.
  • Operational Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to act as a bridge between customers and field engineers.
  • Practical Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze information and provide logical solutions in a fast-paced operational setting.
