Global Senior Sourcing Manager (T3)

Location: Paddington/Slough (Please note, this position can either be based at Paddington or Slough with a hybrid working pattern)
Contract Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are seeking a highly motivated, data-skilled, and agile-minded individual to lead critical initiatives within our client’s Marketing and Sales Content Category.

 

This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of a global change program, supporting potential acquisitions and optimising sourcing activities across an exciting remit that includes Creative Agencies, Production, Public Relations, Social and Influencers, Packaging Design, and Sports Marketing Sponsorships.

 

About the Role:

 

In this pivotal role, you will be the "glue" that connects Marketing, Procurement, and Finance, spearheading the implementation of a new agency ecosystem structure. You'll work on a cutting-edge global marketing ecosystem change, transitioning from fragmented small suppliers to a streamlined, visible and value-driven approach. Your ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt priorities in an agile environment will be key to success.

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

• Implementing new supplier infrastructures globally, tackling 'teething challenges' and fostering best practices
• Deep diving into data to establish robust, user-friendly rate cards, enabling measurable savings and benchmarking
• Building and managing influential relationships with Marketing stakeholders, guiding them towards new operating models to drive significant value
• Clearly communicating the benefits of the new agency ecosystem to bring more Mars business within the framework
• Integrating and building Sourcing strategies across diverse businesses with varying systems and stakeholders, aiming for supply chain simplification and value creation
• Contract Management: Reviewing, streamlining and negotiating contracts to ensure compliance and optimal terms
• Risk Management: Proactively assessing and mitigating supply chain, compliance and sourcing-related risks
• Reporting and Analysis: Presenting key metrics on sourcing performance, cost savings and integration progress to senior management
• Continuous Improvement: Monitoring and recommending enhancements to sourcing operations for increased efficiency and value

 

What We're Looking For:

 

• 10-15 years of global sourcing experience, ideally within FMCG or a similar large, complex global structure
• Proven expertise in sourcing processes, supplier management and contracting
• Significant experience in large business transformation initiatives and change management
• Proficiency with sourcing systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle, Ariba) and data analysis tools
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling high complexity
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, particularly within cross-functional, global teams
• An analytical mindset, adept at assessing data, identifying trends and developing strategic solutions
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, comfortably managing organisational and scope changes
• Outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Crucially, a strong marketing procurement background is essential

 

Preferred Qualifications (but not essential):

 

• Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification
• Experience in supplier diversity, sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives
